Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement nursing strategies aligned with the institution’s mission and quality goals.
Represent nursing perspectives in executive decision-making and strategic planning.
Establish a vision for excellence in nursing practice and drive innovation in patient-centered care.
Operational Oversight:
Lead and supervise nursing operations across inpatient, outpatient, surgical, emergency, and specialty units.
Ensure effective staffing models, budgeting, and resource allocation to support clinical efficiency and safety.
Implement evidence-based policies and practices to enhance patient outcomes and nursing workflows.
Quality & Compliance:
Oversee compliance with national and international nursing standards and healthcare regulations.
Lead quality assurance initiatives, audits, and risk management related to nursing services.
Drive performance improvement projects focused on clinical safety, patient satisfaction, and infection control.
Workforce Development:
Recruit, train, and mentor nursing leaders and staff to build a high-performing, motivated team.
Promote continuous professional development, certification, and academic partnerships.
Cultivate a positive work environment that supports employee engagement and retention.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and allied health professionals to ensure integrated care delivery.
Act as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital leadership, advocating for nursing needs and concerns.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid in country of practice.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Skills and Expertise:
Proven leadership and change management skills in a hospital or large healthcare system.
Deep understanding of nursing operations, patient care models, and clinical performance metrics.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with cultural sensitivity.
Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an asset.
Preferred:
Experience in multicultural, high-acuity healthcare environments.
Membership in professional nursing or healthcare organizations (e.g., ACNO, ICN, AONE).
