On behalf of a leading international healthcare operator, Talents Nexus is seeking a seasoned and adaptable Emergency Coordinator for a full-time position at a major teaching hospital in Najaf, Iraq. This strategic role is ideal for a physician with a robust emergency medicine background and proven experience in remote, high-pressure, or resource-limited environments. The Emergency Coordinator will oversee all aspects of emergency preparedness and care delivery—including trauma, Medevac operations, and field medicine support—ensuring rapid response and clinical excellence in every scenario.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Coordination:
Lead the delivery and coordination of emergency medical services within the hospital and in the field.
Supervise critical care procedures such as triage, airway management, trauma stabilization, and Medevac.
Implement international best practices and evidence-based protocols for emergency and trauma care.
Operational Leadership:
Coordinate with internal departments, local authorities, and external partners to ensure preparedness for mass casualty and crisis response.
Manage emergency inventory and equipment, including readiness of transport and evacuation logistics.
Oversee clinical documentation, communication protocols, and regulatory compliance in emergency cases.
Training & Development:
Organize regular drills and training programs in ACLS, ATLS, PHTLS, TCCC, and related certifications.
Mentor and guide junior staff and paramedical teams in high-stakes decision-making.
Contribute to continuous improvement in clinical protocols and emergency response planning.
Quality Assurance & Safety:
Ensure patient and team safety through rigorous enforcement of protocols and field safety standards.
Lead after-action reviews and incident debriefings to optimize team performance.
Maintain standards for infection control, rapid outbreak response, and operational continuity.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Emergency Medicine or relevant field.
At least 8–10 years of clinical experience, including work in remote, offshore, military, or high-intensity medical settings.
Demonstrated experience in trauma coordination, prehospital medicine, and Medevac operations.
Required Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PHTLS
Additional certifications strongly preferred: TCCC (MP or CMC), PALS, ITLS, ENLS, BOSIET, STCW
Technical Skills and Competencies:
Advanced trauma care, mechanical ventilation, sedation, ultrasound (POCUS).
Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making under stress.
Familiarity with hospital and prehospital emergency workflows and inter-agency coordination.
Languages:
Full professional proficiency in English (C1+).
Arabic, Turkish, or other regional languages are a plus.
