On behalf of our client, Talents Nexus is seeking a skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiologist with expertise in neurointerventions for a modern teaching hospital in Basra. The role involves performing advanced interventional procedures, contributing to the development of minimally invasive techniques, and supporting the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, including vascular, oncological, and emergency interventions.
Conduct advanced neurointerventional procedures (e.g., aneurysm coiling, thrombectomy, AVM embolization).
Provide diagnostic imaging interpretation in support of interventional practice.
Ensure compliance with international safety and quality standards.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with neurosurgeons, neurologists, and other specialists in complex neurovascular cases.
Contribute to multidisciplinary patient management boards.
Support junior radiologists and residents through training and supervision.
Education & Mentorship
Mentor trainees and participate in academic activities.
Engage in research, clinical trials, and publication in interventional radiology and neurointervention.
Quality & Compliance
Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and radiation protection.
Participate in departmental audits and continuous improvement programs.
Support hospital accreditation and compliance with national/international guidelines.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Radiology.
Fellowship/subspecialization in Interventional Radiology (with documented experience in Neurointerventions).
Minimum of 7–12 years’ experience in interventional radiology, with at least 3–5 years in neurointerventions.
Prior experience in a teaching hospital or international environment is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Expertise in vascular and neurovascular interventional techniques.
Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt to multicultural environments.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
Membership in professional bodies (e.g., CIRSE, ESNR, SIR).
Experience in multicultural or resource-variable settings.
